New Family Picnic Date
The Family Picnic has been moved to June 19th from 12-2. There will be a city-wide Kids Fest by the Parks and Recreation on our previous date (May 29). Bring your kids to both! We will all have a great time.
Graduation is almost here!
We are excited to celebrate wonderful milestones with our Children's Ministry. Mark your calendars for the following celebrations!
Sixth Grade Graduation to Youth: June 6, 4:30 pm, Youth Building
Fourth Grade Graduation to the Realm and Pad: June 6, 10:30 service during regular class
Internet safety
We find ourselves in a new and wonderful age of technology with LOTS of great information at our fingertips. Unfortunately, this same opportunity provides an opportunity for the enemy. Children are curious and innocent. Through the Internet, they can stumble on all sorts of things they don't need to see. As parents, we need to do all we can to protect them. Below is a list of just a few filters that you can install on your computer at home. Don't delay, protect your computers today!
kidzui.com - a fun web browser with filters built in. Children love it and parents receive emails of the sites visited by the child.

We like to keep you posted on new volunteers and changes. Here some of our newest!
- Jennifer Adams is changing to Director of the 3-year-olds
- Kathy Smith has volunteered as Director of the 4-year-olds as she continues to teach in that area once a quarter
- Tessa Parker is teaching once a quarter in the 4-year-olds
- Susan and Nathan Kennedy are stepping down from working with the 3's
- Wendy Little (our awesome Registration Director) is coordinating food for our Family Picnic
- DeDe Simmons, Jamie Scroggins, and Heather Potts are working on decorating ideas for the Power Station
- Larry and Donna Young are helping with plans for the Heros of the Shoals Kidz Event
- Thanks to Treca Springer and Haley Clanton for helping at the last minute with the children
- Thanks to Jeff Simmons, Tina Bailey and her sons, Steven and David for helping us move furniture for renovation preparations
Children's Facility Update
How exciting to have a new children's facility announced.
We are calling our new facility "The Power Station." This is a place where God can release His power by connecting the generations together!
Thanks! ...for more than $62,000 to get started.
What's Happening Now:
- Plans to move a donated playground to its new home at Christ Chapel
- Renovations to move the children from the Fellowship Hall to a children's sanctuary are being planned
- A Decorating Team is working on ideas for the renovated areas
